March Birthdays

There are lots of birthday's in March. My sister Haley had her big 21st birthday this year! She is 21 and expecting her little baby girl the beginning of August. My mom and I were able to drive down to West Jordan for the day (Where she lives). We took her out to lunch and some shopping. When we took her home, Tim had music playing, her presents all in line and a some cake all ready for her. It was really sweet.

Then Cj turned the big 25 on the 25th of March. So crazy he's 25! It sounds so old, but I'm following him slowly in age. We went to Salt Lake for some hotel fun. We were able to go out and eat some good food. I tried to take him shopping, but he's so picky with everything!

My food was so good! We went to a place called "The Green Pig". So yummy!

We went shopping downtown, it was freezing!!

We had a lot of fun. Even though all he wanted to do was watch sports! At least I was able to get a nap in. ;)

I'm so happy to have Cj in my life, especially as my husband. I just don't like getting old!!

I had to work on Cj's actual birthday, but I decorated the house for when he got home from work.

Cj opening his gifts. He got a lot of running stuff, and socks and underwear. That's what you get when you get older right?

Corbin and his mission send off!

Corbin is gone! Sending a missionary off was a lot harder than I thought it would be! First, before we sent him off. He had his farewell at church where he spoke a couple days before he left. It was fun to have family and friends come to church, and then have a little breakfast treat at my parents after he spoke. His talk went well, he made lots of people cry. Tears of joy, but I was happy and sad at the same time. I was an emotional wreck! You have so many emotions running through you when you have someone serving an LDS mission. I was scared, nervous, happy, sad, and excited. Just a lot to take in to see someone go for 2 years.
We had everyone come to my parents for breakfast. We counted and had about 80 people total come! After everyone came and went Corbin and I were able to take some pictures together.

My old friend Makel from school, came to support Corbin and we were able to get some photo's together too.

It was so good to see everyone and spend time with everyone. Like I said very emotional.
Ok so his last day..

He never packed up his room, like my dad asked him. Haley and Tim came down for when he got set apart to be a missionary. But they were unable to make it to his send off. He left on a Wednesday, that's when all the missionary's go to the MTC. We went to lunch as a family, minus Haley, to India Palace. It's an Indian restaurant that we really enjoy that has a buffet for lunch, for a reasonable price. Anyways, back to Corbin. He seemed very anxious and nervous while we had lunch. We talked about old times and our family vacations. It was Blake's school lunch at the time, so he went off to talk to her for a few minutes. He came back with his eyes all red and he seemed really upset. :( It made me sad to see him sad, but I knew him serving a mission would be the best thing for him

We realized it was time to go so we went up to the Provo temple to say our goodbye's and take our last photo's with Corbin for 2 years! Walking up to the temple I grabbed his arm and held him close to me. Even though a lot of the time I would be mad at him, or boss him around. I was so sad to say goodbye to him! I really didn't think that I would be that upset. We were able to take some good pictures together.

May and Corbin.

The family! (Minus Haley)

So sweet.

My boys!!

So after we left the temple. We said our goodbyes in the parking lot. Corbin hugged Cj first, and Corbin started crying. Then that made May cry, then my mom started crying, so I started crying. Yeah, we are cry babies in our family. Sunny said goodbye to him and cried SO hard. I really didn't think she would be that sad. It was really sweet when they said goodbye to each other.
Then I gave Corbin a hug and I told him I was proud of him, and he needed to stay strong. He hugged me tighter and told me he would be strong for me and that he loved me. I was balling my eyes out! Then we all get into the car to drop him off at the MTC.

That was a weird drive. We're all sniffing and crying in the car, and we drive up to the MTC. Corbin was on his phone saying his goodbye to all his friends for 2 years. We pull up and they were like "Looks like you have a missionary back there!" And we drive through and some of the elder's were like "Well, where are you guys all from?" and we're like "Provo, Utah! Not so far." Haha everyone travels with their families to send their missionaries off. So they just assumed we were from out of state. It was pretty funny. We pulled up to the curb and everything happened so fast! Three elder's came up to us and two of them grabbed Corbin's luggage and then one of them wanted all his papers and immunization records. Then they were just like "Let's go!" And I just remember Corbin opening my door and telling us he loved us and giving my mom a goodbye hug, and he was off. Just like that!

He spent a week and a half in the MTC and then left for Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday. He called and left me a sweet voice mail while he was at the airport waiting to leave. Last we heard he made it safe to Charlotte! We are so proud of him and happy he made if safe!

10 Days!

Corbin is leaving in 10 days! I can't believe how fast time has gone by, that he's already leaving that soon. I think he's starting to get really really nervous about leaving. He hasn't cleaned up him room, started packing, or preparing. It might be a big wake up call when he gets on the field. But I am trying to stay hopeful and supportive of him, with whatever happens. We have been trying to do fun things with him before he leaves. Like...

Go sledding!

Corbin and Cj built a snowman while I was at work. Don't mind Cj being gangster in this photo.

Corbie and I at church.

Cj went to Anaheim, California for work for three days. He had fun and was able to go to downtown Disney one night.

Olive lately has been lazy, and not wanting to go outside b/c it's so cold. She's a little stink.

Olive getting what she deserves by Cora. Hahaha

It has been snowing A LOT this winter. I thought it would be fun to throw Olive in the fluffy snow. I don't think she was happy about it.

Cj and I rode the front runner a couple weeks ago to Salt Lake. The ride there took way longer than expected. But we finally made it. Our main reason why we went up was so we could go and explore Trader Joe's.I 'm so happy they have one in Utah! That place is awesome.

Cj won Utah Jazz tickets on the radio on Monday! He was SO excited. He called me at work, which he never ever does. So I was really worried at first. I got on the phone and I was like "Are you ok?" and he was silent for a few seconds and then he was like "Guess who just won Jazz tickets on the radio???!" He was so stoked. He won two tickets and said it was ok if he took me. I didn't know if he wanted to take one of his friends, who actually enjoy the games. :) But we had a little date night, it was fun.

For some reason I am really excited for Valentines day. I think it's fun to have a day to have for couples. And we would be celebrating three years since Cj proposed to me. Thursday I work, but afterwards we are planning on going to our favorite Indian food in Provo, Bombay House! :) <3

Lastly, Cj just showed me this video today and I'm obsessed. So funny!!

Bring on 2013!

This new year has already brought a lot of new changes! I am so happy 2012 is gone and over with, and to start a brand new year. My very close cousin Jen got engaged on my birthday! They are planning a wedding within the next year.

They are a gorgeous couple, and will one day have beautiful children!

My brother in law got engaged as well. A couple days after Christmas. They are planning a wedding in the summer of 2014! They are both going to be doctors here in May! So go them!! Cat, Brian's fiance is going to be and ER doctor (I am so jealous b/c I love the ER and I totally want to be an ER nurse!). And Brian is thinking of pediatrics. I absolutely love peds. But I don't want to be at the doctors office for the rest of my life.

My other brother in law is going to be a dad to number 2. A little boy! I can't wait to see what he looks like! I am so excited.

Yay for baby Mckinney number dos!

And then drum roll.... My little sister Haley is going to have a baby. She's due the day after Cj and I's anniversary, August 8th. It was a little bit of a surprise with her pregnancy, but we're trying to stay positive and be happy for her.

It's fun to see the pictures. I can't believe that little peanut is inside of her!
My life is kinda boring, nothing new or exciting is going on with us..

Olive is the same ol' same ol'. Always wanting to play with her monkey.

I was able to escape work for an hour and meet up with my best friend Krystal and her friend at Guru's for a birthday lunch.

On New years I met up with my friend Elise and was able to spend the last few minutes of 2012 together.

Cj playing on his new Christmas present he got from my mom. She got him a little piano. Olive was more interested in playing with her monkey of course.

We are training for a full marathon in May. Yes, I said it a full marathon. Cj is my coach and has been trying to get me out there in the cold, and snow to continue with my training. Why is running so hard?

Lastly this is my handsome husband that I love so much. I couldn't ask for a better husband. He is such a hard worker and is going through a lot with his dad currently. I am so proud of him for staying so strong. You are my everything Cj. Thanks for being you!

Birthday Bash

I was extremely spoiled by Cj this year on my birthday and Christmas. For my birthday we went up to SLC. He got us a room to stay the night at Little America. Before we went up I went and got my hair curled at Paul Mitchell the school. It's like $10 and it makes you feel pretty. :) Before we headed up, my mom wanted to give me my birthday present early. She got me a new cozy coat to keep me warm.

For dinner Cj took me to my absolute favorite restaurant, Red Iguana. There was a line, to be expected. But it is well worth the wait!

Waiting outside to be seated.  That Asian guy decided to be in our photo in the middle.

After our wonderful dinner we went and met up with the Clayton's at Temple Square. They also were staying the night in SLC, different hotel's. The lights were great, like always. It was very very packed. I was holding Jonas most of the time once we met with them. He had this adorable little bear outfit on. While people would walk past me I could hear them say "What a cute baby!" and "Did you see how cute that baby was?". I enjoyed the attention, even though he isn't my baby haha. Then at one point in the night I was pushing the stroller with Eli age 7 1/2 and Sam age 5 1/2. While I was pushing them Matt heard someone say "Did you see how young that mom was with those two kids?".

Here is a picture of me and sweet little Cora. She is so cute.

Cj trying to hold her.

Can you see Jonas's cute bear outfit? Mel found her sister in Temple square while we were there. Really random. She's serving an LDS mission there.

After Temple Square we were able to do some shopping at the new mall City Creek. We headed back to our hotel room on the trax. I wasn't feeling well that night so we went to bed early. The next day, Saturday was my actual birthday. Before heading home to Provo, we stopped off at the mall outlets in Lehi. I spent all my birthday money (and some..) that Cj gave me to buy whatever I wanted! He is so sweet. I chatted with a lot of my family members who called me to wish me a happy birthday. My cousin Jen was purposed to by her fiance Dan. It was a good birthday. Then to end the night I skyped with Jena and Justin.
I had a wonderful couple of days spent for my birthday, and it was great to hear from family.
